After Care Advice

What to Expect Immediately After the Procedure? Please be aware that initially, the colour intensity will be considerably darker and sharper than you might expect. However, don’t panic; this is completely normal. Your healed brows will soften in appearance by 30-50%. Over the subsequent ten days,  the brows will begin to fade and it can take between 6-8 weeks for the true colour to emerge.    Don't be alarmed if the colour seems to disappear during the healing process, this is called the ghosting phase and is due to layers of skin forming, this is temporary.

Please remember that microblading is a two stage process and and your treatment is not deemed as complete until both sessions are complete. Your top up session should be booked within the next 4-6 weeks.

Day 1 (Appointment) Please do not touch your eye brows after the procedure, if absolutely necessary you may blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb any excess lymph fluid. While the skin is forming a protective scab, you might notice some lymph fluid on the skin. This is normal, but it's essential to clean off this fluid so that the secretion doesn’t crust over, allowing the skin to breathe.

Do not get the brows wet and do not apply any ointment until day 3.

Day 2 The treated area may exhibit the following symptoms for 1 to 10 days after the treatment. All these symptoms are typical and will only last for a short duration: Redness, Minimal swelling, Tenderness, Flaking, Dryness and itching. Do not pick the scabs as this will result in patchiness and fading, giving an uneven result. The scabs will fall off naturally when they are ready.

Washing Brows: Please do not get your brows wet or use soaps or cleansers for 10 days. No scrubbing, rubbing, wiping, or scratching!

Day 3-10: Before applying ointment, ensure the area is completely dry. WARNING: Applying ointment to damp skin can cause infection. Apply a rice-sized amount of ointment twice per day. Do not overapply. Gently pat the ointment onto the brows using clean fingertips or a cotton pad as provided. Be gentle and avoid aggressive movements on the skin. Note! Hard scabs can fall off and remove the pigment. The key to successful pigment retention is soft scabs that flake off naturally.

A full printed aftercare guidance leaflet is provided after your treatment and you should follow these steps closely as failure to do so could result in poor retention and patchy brows. You will also be provided with an aftercare pack which includes everything you need to look after your new brows at home.
